Description

BLACK TERRAIN PAINT is a water-based scenic pigment designed for coloring terrain materials used in model railroads, dioramas, and landscape modeling. It is formulated to penetrate porous scenic surfaces such as plaster cloth, foam, Flex Paste, wood, plaster, and papier-mâché, creating a deep black tone while preserving fine surface detail.

Unlike standard acrylic paint, it works more like a stain, allowing natural textures like rock carving, terrain relief, and plaster detail to remain visible while adding strong shadow and depth effects. It is commonly used for base coating, weathering, and enhancing contrast in scenic builds.
